ORIGINAL WORK SUBMITTED

The end of this week marks the end of a very long project. This is a monumental and exciting moment, and the looming deadline of the original work I finally upon us. Glory be to the powers who have allowed the reaching of this point: three months ago it seemed impossible and yet, here it is. The original work is done and celebration time here.

The original work admittedly morphed as it was worked on over the three months we were given to complete it. What was originally meant to be a simple report become a website, report, and two infographics. It was inevitable, perhaps, as the more was learned the more was needed to be shared. The website idea came from the UN, as they did something similar for their climate report. It is beyond rewarding to see so much time spent researching and writing finally corn to fruition.

Clearly, the original work was the most exciting accomplishment of the week. However, with this time of the year comes many exciting things. First, the display board was completed (minus the original work part which can now be completed) for the research showcase. This was extremely rewarding Asif as experience gained last year through work on the display board was put to good use this year. It is better this year, the writer of this weekly report believes. More sophisticated, more eye catching, and certainly much more lit up. How exciting to be able to show this large display to the members of the community.

Finally, more work was done to obtain a second interview. Obviously, a task this writer is woefully far behind on. However! However, progress has been made. A professional at children’s hospital who actually works under the tile of “ethicist” was contacted. She responded with a yes, but did want to know more about the program. A response was given and now we wait to here. We are hopeful and excited.

Overall, the coming week will be as full of excitement as the last. The research showcase is thrilling and the writer of this report is fully prepared to take it on. Furthermore, more interviews (and a possible mentorship) seem to be on the horizon.
