BEGINNING COLD CALLS

This week allowed the completion of a lot of the goals discussed in last week’s report. Especially in the area of cold calls. There was no assessment due this week which allowed more focus to be placed on interview preparation.

The first five people on my contact list were contacted; none of them went through to the professional themselves. A few receptionists were reached, however, and a few messages were left. One reply has been received; Dr. Tom Mayo, one of the contacts which I was most excited about contacting has reached out. A possible meeting is now in the process of being scheduled. He is a part of the north Texas ethics association, which may give me some ins to interview some other professionals.

In addition to cold calls, work was done to finalize my resumé and begin next week's assessment. Not much was changed with my resume, but peer feedback was extremely helpful. Additionally, handshakes are being worked on so when interviews begin my hand will not be a limp fish. These skills should also price very useful in the future with college and job interviews.

Hopefully, some professionals will call back in the near future. If not, I will reach out again. Additionally, I will begin adding more contacts to the list. Beginning interviews is a very exciting prospect. I believe some progress will be made in the future.
