Spring Break

I actually used the past two weeks as a time to catch up with work and relax. The week preceding spring break I did a lot of maintenance work with my digital portfolio and portfolio and complete my first mentor assessment.

I’m actually quite behind on the mentor assessments and finished my third mentor visit the week before spring break. I spent spring break catching up on assessments. I only have to do one for the most recent visit. We chose to skip spring break, so I not know when my next visit will be but I have contacted them and am waiting to hear whether their schedules will be free for the Tuesday after spring break. It’s very exciting to be able to start adding mentor assessments to my portfolios.

Although I didn’t do a lot of work on my final project these past two weeks, I have continued to do research on the African Sleeping Sickness parasite. At my next mentor visit my mentors have suggested scheduling when I will begin writing my grant and the time frame they will give me assignment. I will also need to complete a final product progress assessment in the coming week, so I will need to be prepared for that. I remain excited about my product, and I can’t wait to begin the actual grant writing process.
