TREATMENT
Of course, we must also remember that there are people in our community whose needs are now past prevention. In order to fully combat the opioid crisis, the needs of those already abusing or addicted to opioids must be considered.
REHABILITATION PROGRAMS
These programs should not only last thirty days but provide lifelong support for patients who now have a lifelong struggle ahead of them.

OTHER OPTIONS
Many patients begin opioids for a valid reason, such as chronic pain. To truly help them, we must provide alternatives to manage that pain, such as a comprehensive pain management program.

PUBLIC PERCEPTION
If we truly want people to get help, we must make addiction less of a stigma, and make people more aware of the signs of addiction so they can look for it in friends and family.
